Today we studies Value and Form and filled in examples on our handout.
Art 9
Finished the geometrical star and filled in the spaces with the Elements of Art.  In the second class we listened to a song called "Rehab" on the topic of social injustice and graffiti. Discussion followed and then we practiced different styles of alphabet letters.
CE 30
A Tornado Drill started the class and we quickly went down to the basement to the safe zone.  Continued notes on religious tradition and the elements of religion.
PAA 30
Everyone was very excited to start cutting strips for their quilts.  Bring on the muscle, girls!

Working on our clay coil pots. When done starting on a pinch pot creature of your choice.

Finishing off paragraphs on the three themes presented in Romeo and Juliet. Second and third paragraphs are due Thursday.

Sorted out the utensils in the kitchen so the lab is now ready for the next group.  Continued working on clay pots.

Videos on slab building and making a clay birdhouse.  Decide on a design and get started.  Wrap well with plastic for storing until next day.

Theme paragraphs describing and giving examples of how the three themes of love/hate, love/death, and light/dark  are shown in Romeo and Juliet.  We will be watching the movie next Thursday starting at 12:00. Bring lunch and snacks.

Listen to the audio poem "Children Learn What They Live" and answer the three questions on the board.  Discussion of answers.  Fill out handout to review your concept of schemas.

We finished reading the play.  Such excitement at the end!  Poor Romeo and poor Juliet! Then go back to the character survey that your classmates filled out and write the names of the characters from R and J that fit the profile for each characteristic. Took up the answers for the review questions.
Art 10-12
Showed a video for the introduction of pottery and a how to video for making a coiled pot, which is our first project. We also hung up on the hallway display board the finished Colonial Art projects.
Art 8C
Continued working on our coiled pots.
PAA 8 Foods
Wrote the final test on fruits and vegetables.  Also handed in the review questions for Fruits and Vegetables.

Good morning everyone!  Today I am going to an inservice and Mrs. Ruznisky will be covering my classes.

Watch video on how to make a coil pot.  Read over handout and get started.  Some students should finish glazing their cups from the art gallery tour.
ELA 9
Finish reading Act IV of Romeo and Juliet and start reading Act V sc. i and ii.  Answer questions for them as well.  Tomorrow we will finish reading the play and do some follow up activities.
Psychology 20
Continued with notes and discussion on schemas. Hand in homework from last week "A Personality Assessment".
