Art 9 - We began our stencil project. The stencil project involves one stencil using text and one image based stencil. we watched a video on the artist Banksy, and we watched a video on stencil making. English 9 - Students went through and presented the poems on pages 22-25 in the Crossroads. Also, we discussed the poem titled 'LovetheLife'. -Mr. Trew

Tuesday, Sept 18

Psychology 20 Handout to work through on research methods. After that try to fill in the handout from last day Activity A. CE 12 Read pages 15-19 from the Text on the Nature of a Religious Tradition. Fill in the corresponding handout. English 9 Plan and start writing a children's story on inclusion. Will continue this tomorrow. Art 10-12 Finish up the bulletin board assignment. Presentations will be on Thursday. CE 10 IC Hand in Coat of Arms. Start assignment on a storybook of their life.

Monday, Sept. 17

Period 1 Art 9 Watch video of -'Rehab Graffiti the World' seeing how artists use graffiti to protest social wrongs. Work on your name graffiti and start thinking of how you could graffiti your protest of something in society you feel strongly about. This will be worked on on Wednesday. Period 2 and 3 Clothing 8 L Cutting our patterns and starting to sew our hoodies. Period 4 Creative Writing 20 Revise the draft you did on Friday of last week.Peer conference is the next step. Period 5 English 9 Read Kath and Mouse. Answer the responding questions following the story. Start brainstorming how you and your partner can write a children's story on 'Inclusion'. You will have the next two classes to work on this.

Sept 14 , Friday

PAA 8 M Finished cutting out our hoodies and made a bobbin with matching thread. Next day we will start sewing. English 9 Finished "Acceptance" and talked about how we change ourselves to fit in. Started to discuss the topic of bullying. Next day we will read "Kath and Mouse". CE.10 IC Quiz on the church year information. The rest of the class was used to work on the coat of arms. Art 10-12 Working on the Elements and Principles of Design bulletin board project. One more class will be given to finish this. Creative Writing 20 Notes on B. Drafting. discussed what is involved when drafting a piece of writing. Worked on the draft from yesterday's prewriting. This will be due for Monday's class.

Any PAA 9/10 students who would like to come in and work on their posters on Friday (tomorrow) from 12:05-12:25 in the art room are welcome to do so. If you have access to a color printer, you can print off some images that way. -Mr. Trew
